Twenty eight

The fact that BJ had waited in the stand for questioning by his own lawyer in the courtroom had been challenging enough for him to handle. The bizarre situation was one he knew was possible but never anticipated he would be in.

He had now immersed himself in the comfort of the silence that ensued right after the lawyer had dismissed his questioning.

“no further questions your honour” the words he just heard his lawyer , Barrister Williams speak which set down a soothing trail of calm down his spine. ‘finally’ he thought ‘ this nightmare is over’ he was on the watch of the for the judge’s lips to move and give a final response to dismiss him from the stand. However the judge got to disappoint him with his response 

“does the prosecution wish to examine” he said. 

The nervousness that once glittered in BJ’s eyes once before back when he was first called out now resurfaced once again.
