50 - Bad Conversation

My first stop of the day was the dungeon. I didn't want to think about what I might find here, but I steeled myself, standing tall. I was tired from yesterday, but I wanted to face everything head-on, like a man.

"Open the door," I said, straightening my posture.

"Yes, sir."

The door opened with a creak. The sight that greeted me was pitiful. Whether it was the image of my mother huddled in a corner, her white blouse dirty, and her hair disheveled, one thing was clear: my mother was a mess.

Of course, I felt sorry for her. Who wouldn't? My mother, Luna Meredith, was always known as a beautiful woman, an example of class. Everyone wanted to be like her, and some even believed I should have super high standards because of her level of beauty.
