The room was quiet for I don’t know how long. All I could do was stare, and I was not sure who I was staring at more. Everly my shy sexy little redhead or the two biggest fucking rockstars to date. These two women had come out of nowhere and literally taken over the music industry. Their guitar skills are different from anyone else's, and their voices are beyond amazing. Not to mention they are ridiculously gorgeous. Everyone wants to work with them. They are not my type since I have a thing for redheads but having them stand before me has me seeing them in a way that I never thought I would. They are both three or four inches taller than Everly, making them around 5’4”. Both have matching dark emerald green eyes with hazel sprinkled in them. Their long natural silvery platinum blonde hair has thick chunks of colour flowing throughout it—multiple shades of blue for Kylynn and multiple shades of purple for Tianya. If I didn't know they were cousins, I would swear they were sisters; they look so much alike. They could damn near be twins with how much they resemble each other.
“Here take your damn coffee and sit down. I swear the two of you act as if you are five not 21 with all the whining you do.” Vienna snarks.
“You are so fucking lucky you are our cousin,” Tianya grumbles.
Vienna practically shoves the coffee into their hands and struts out loudly, shutting the door. I can hear the other woman laughing from somewhere down the hall. I am pretty sure I heard one of them call her a bitch, but there was no malice behind it. I can control the need to laugh at this scene, but Lance is not. He lets out one of his obnoxiously loud booming laughs. The guy sounds like a hyena when he gets going. All three of the women look at him like he is insane, which he is.
“Dude you sound like a dying hyena.” Kylynn points out.
“Yes, these assholes here like to remind me of this every time I laugh.” Lance comments.
The four of us introduce ourselves, and we all shake hands. Everly shakes my hand like we haven’t met before, and the same sparks I felt that night race up my arm. I can tell that she feels them, too, when her eyes get big, and I hear a quiet gasp. I think Tianya heard it as well since she looked over at the two of us. I notice during our meeting that Brent hasn’t taken his eyes off Kylynn. I smirk at him, and he flips me off. She is definitely his type. Both of them are well decorated in tattoos, and I am sure they have more piercings than visible ones. They are rock stars all the way.
“So why build your business in Savannah?” Alek asks.
“We were all born and raised here. We grew up in the Summer Valley area and went to Summer Hill high. We knew that we wanted to start a company once we established our accidental music career and we knew that we wanted it to be in the town that we grew up in so here we are.” Kylynn explains.
“Wait you went to Summer Hill High? No way you two are the ones that had all the guys in our school both scared shitless and madly in love with you a the same time. Your little group had quite the reputation.” I said.
“Oh, you four must have gone to Legion Prep. Yeah no offense most of the guys from your school were total douche bags and needed their asses kicked.” Tianya points out.
I find it ironic that we went to school across town from each other. Our schools were and are still huge rivals. We heard that their little group has a reputation for fighting. Basically, they didn’t put up with shit. It makes so much sense now why Brad and Heath were so butt-hurt when they didn’t get the contract to work with these two. They were probably just as shocked as we were when they walked into the room. Knowing those two, I am sure they tried flirting and intimidation when that didn’t work. When both failed, I am sure their egos took a hit, and they decided to save face by telling everyone that these three were impossible to work with. I watch Everly as she starts talking about their products and the new products and ideas they are coming out with. She is as beautiful as ever, but there is something different about her. Her hair has grown longer and looks more lustrous, while her skin has this glow about it. Brent then stands up and starts talking about what our company can offer, and I notice that they seem very interested. Kylynn is watching Brent very closely, and I have noticed her checking him out just as he has been checking her out this whole time.
“Well boys let us talk about it and we will let you know by tomorrow or the next day.” Kylynn says.
A yawn slips out, and I tell them there is no rush. They had just gotten back late last night from a concert in California. They had told us all about it. I told them that we could have rescheduled this meeting, but they just waved me off. Lance had the bright idea to exchange numbers, so we did. We all had each other's numbers now, and I was beyond happy to know that I could now talk to Everly at any time. I looked up and into those bright baby blues of hers. I give her one of my smiles, and it is returned as she follows the other two out. I could tell that the smile wasn’t a happy one. I could tell that night that she had trust issues. She kept acting as if she couldn’t believe that a guy like me would be interested in her. I hear Kylynn and Tianya going on as they walk down the hall. I laugh when I hear Everly tell them to stop bitching and go home and sleep.
“Well, that was an interesting meeting yesterday. I am not sure if my brain has caught up with the fact that we met the Rock Goddesses yesterday. I can’t wait to talk with Brad and Heath and rub it in that we morel than likely nailed down the contract to work with them.” Alek says.
“They are going to lose their shit. I am not sure I should bring this up but I swear Everly reminds me of someone. I swear I have seen those same coloured eyes before but I can’t think of where.” Brent comments.
“I thought the same thing but like you said I can’t think who she reminds me of. I am surprised you noticed Everly at all with the way you were staring at Kylynn the whole fucking meeting.” Lance points out.
“Oh fuck off, as if you weren’t checking them out. Besides the fact that she is one of the biggest rock stars, she is fucking gorgeous.” Brent replies.
I just laugh at the two of them. We are in Brent’s office. Lance thought we should have a very impromptu meeting about yesterday’s meeting. Brent is right, though; Everly does remind me of someone. I still can’t get over how beautiful she is. I roll my eyes as Lance keeps giving Brent shit about eye fucking Kylynn the whole meeting.
“You would think that being 24 year old adult billionaires that they would act more mature but apparently not.” Tianya states.
“Please you know a guys mind never ages past 16. I am not surprised that they are acting like they are still in highschool.” Kylynn adds.
We all whip around when we hear them talk. They are standing there in the doorway of Brent’s office with smirks on their faces. Damn, these two. They are both wearing simple halter-style sundresses which cover just enough. I groaned when I realised that they walked through our entire building in these dresses. I am sure that every guy and possibly a few women just lost their shit, and I have no doubt this whole place has been thrown into a frenzy.
“Not that we aren’t happy to see you but what are the two of you doing her?” Alek asks.
“We were actually across the street having lunch and decided to pop in for a visit. Just a heads up, your security here sucks ass.” Kylynn states.
“It does not.” I retort.
“Yes, it does. We walked in and went to ask about seeing you two and the girl at the front practically yelled out the floor number. Security didn’t even try and stop us in fact they just stood there and let us walk through this whole building while doing nothing.” Tianya adds.
“First off I have no doubt that no one in this building was expecting the two of you to walk in and ask for us. This building has the best security money can buy but apparently it is useless when the two biggest rock stars walk in.” Lance points out.
Neither of them argues with what Lance says as they just shrug their shoulders and sit down. I am surprised that Everly isn’t with them. Alek asks, and Tianya says she is working from home today because she isn’t feeling well.
“Ok I have to ask, we all noticed yesterday that not one person in your building was wearing a suit. Everyone was dressed very business casual and it caught us off guard.” I comment.
“Yeah well we aren’t exactly the suit and tie type of girls so when we started our business, not the music part, we knew that we wanted everyone to feel comfortable when they work. We don’t really have a dress code and if anyone wanted to wear a suit they are free to do so. We wanted a family feel and laid back vibe so as long as everyone looks nice we don’t care.” Tianya explains.
They tell us how they run their business, and damn if it doesn’t make sense. Full benefits from day one, low-key dress code, and options to work from home or come into the office. They only require that each employee has to come into the office at least two to three times a week. I can tell you we are impressed. They tell us their turnover rate as far as employees leaving is below zero. The few that had left were mostly due to one of the spouses being in the military or something like that. The business world would be smart to follow their lead, but I can’t see that happening anytime soon.
“Is Everly ok?” I ask.
“Yeah, I think she caught a bug that is going around. I know that a few of the others had the stomach flu recently. That is the other reason we had to make up that concert two days ago. We were both puking our guts out when it was originally scheduled. “ Kylynn replies.
I make a mental note to text Everly later and make sure she is ok. Something in me is telling me to check on her. I can’t explain it, but I know I need to. After seeing her again yesterday, it just reiterated the fact that that night in the club, both my mind and heart claimed her and I have no intention of letting her go now that I found her again.
I had been feeling like shit for the last week. The nausea was awful, but the vomiting just started this morning. I had been talking with Malissa from HR, who was six months pregnant. She told me how terrible her morning sickness was during the first two or three months of her pregnancy, and that’s when it clicked in my head. I went home that night and read up on pregnancy, and I knew then that I needed to grab a test at some point. Now I sit with my back against the mirror on the vanity in my bathroom. I am staring at all eight positive pregnancy tests. Do I regret that night? Absolutely not. Kaden made that night perfect, even if he was drunk and doesn't remember it. I will never forget it, and now I will be reminded of it. “Everly where are you?” Kylynn asks. Of course, they would come over. They had asked earlier if I wanted to go to lunch with them, but as soon as I heard any discussion about food, my stomach basically told me to fuck off, and I had to tell them th
It’s only Wednesday, and I am already anxious. I still had two days until my date with Everly. I was surprised when she agreed to go to dinner with me. She returned to work Monday, so I sent her a get-well basket. I was in a meeting when she texted me, letting me know she got it. I am sure everyone thought I had lost my mind when I started smiling like an idiot during the meeting. Alek raised his eyebrow at me and shot me a smirk. That asshole can’t say anything. I know he has been texting Tianya like crazy, and I am positive something is happening between them. The fact that she showed up here yesterday is beside the point. She said they were meeting about something, but I knew that was bullshit but just shook my head and returned to my office. I know Brent has been texting Kylynn, but I am unsure what is happening with them. “What has you laughing like a dying hyena?” I ask. “Fuck off, we ran into Heath and Brad while we were getting lunch. Brent told them about our
I look at myself in the mirror one last time. I am beyond nervous as I grab my wallet and phone. I haven’t been this nervous since I was in high school. Ironically it had to do with Kylynn or Tianya at the time. I had seen a picture of the two of them that one of my friends had on his phone. How he got it and where he took it, I still don’t know, but I thought they were both beautiful. This was before the rock star thing and their dyed hair, tattoos, and body piercings. I had planned on finding them and asking both of them out. I figured that one of them would at least say yes. If Alek or Brent knew about this, they would laugh at or hit me; I'm not sure which reaction I would get. I have no reason to be nervous, yet I am. I unlock my car and slide into the driver's seat. I click the button, shut the garage, and drive toward the address Everly sent me earlier today. I am fully aware that I have my work cut out for me when it comes to her, but I don’t care. Something about
Ok, maybe the four of us should have been more concerned about meeting their entire family than we were. All of the men in this family are fucking huge. They are all my height or taller. I think Cole’s dad has to be 6’10”. Hell, he might even be taller than that. I can tell you that we were scared shitless, but we sure as hell didn’t show it. After a half-hour of questions making sure we weren’t going to hurt their little girls, which is hilarious, they were OK with us. I wonder if they even know that their little girls beat the shit out of more than half the guys at our school. Alek and I were shocked when they greeted his dad and mine like they were old friends. “We are old friends. We all went to school together back in Atlanta. Not to mention college as well.” Dad says. “Speaking of where is Christian and Lucy?” Uncle Greg asks. “They ran into some hard times and things turned out bad for them. Last we heard they were in North Carolina but who knows.” Kylynn’s dad
I can officially say that I am stressed out. My date with Kaden went great, and I had a fantastic time. The restaurant was marvelous, as was the food. I still can’t believe a man like Kaden would want me, but Cole is right. The man is seriously drop-dead gorgeous. I don’t even come to his shoulders, and since he and Marshall (Kylynn’s oldest brother) are the same height, I know he is 6’3” with his short black hair and light pale forest green eyes (they remind me of stained glass), he is seriously delicious. His perfect pale brown skin suits him well. His parents are so sweet, and he is the perfect mix of the two of them. I almost had a heart attack when I saw Alek’s mother. I had my first doctor's appointment last Friday, and everything went well. My ob-gyn gave me some vitamins to take as well as some medication to help with the vomiting. It has worked great. I still get nauseous, but thankfully the vomiting has stopped for the most part. I was surprised that my ob-gyn wa
It has been a month since we met the women and the rest of their families. The gala was suspossed to be this weekend, but something happened, and it has been postponed. I am not sure when it will be held, but they told everyone that the tickets would be honored and that they were sincerely sorry they had to reschedule. None of us was overly sad about it. I know the girls were indifferent to the whole thing. Speaking of the women, they are out of town at the moment. They have been in Los Angeles for the last week. I am not sure why they had to go, but they are due back tomorrow. Everly went with them since they could schedule a meeting with someone there about a new idea for their business. I guess they are branching out from energy drinks. They haven't told us their new ideas, but I am sure they will once they return since we are their new advertising agency. “This sucks.” Lance groans. “I know but at least they will be back tomorrow.” Alek states. “You do realize that w
I look at the clock for the hundredth time today. It is only 10 am. Since Alek and I had that talk yesterday, I can’t think of anything else except Everly carrying my child. Of course, there is still no positive proof that she is pregnant. She may have just gained weight. I am trying not to jump to conclusions. I knew Alek would try and get his mom to tell him, but she refused. I told him to stop since it was against her oath as a doctor. Everly and I have been texting back and forth, and she has not given any hints as to whether she is pregnant. I asked Alek not to say anything to Lance or Brent until I could confirm she was pregnant. I am not hiding anything; I want to ensure it is accurate before I let them know. This is a private matter between Everly and me, and until I am positive that she is carrying my child, I want it kept quiet. Once I know everything, we will decide when to let everyone else know. Tianya and Kylynn already know, but I would expect them to know.
I feel like shit as I wake up the following day. I sit in bed and pull my knees up to my chin; well, not quite, but as close as I can—images of last night flash through my mind. I should have known when his mother kept looking at me when we were at the bar-b-que. Last night was suspossed to be a great chance to get to know his parents better, but as usual, I ruined it. When his mother asked how far along I was, I thought I would vomit. I quickly came up with an excuse as to why I was glowing. We had just spent a little over a week in LA. We had been outside a lot then, and we all returned slightly tanner. When I looked at Kaden’s face, I knew he was pissed. I couldn’t even look at his parents after his mother called me out. I don’t even want to know what they think of me. I am sure I am not the girl they want their son with. It's not like Kaden will want anything to do with me now. I pull myself out of bed and into the bathroom for a shower. I cried the entire time. Afte
