I checked my phone for the hundredth time today to see no texts or calls from Everly. She went back to work today. I knew what dad was trying to tell me at the end of the meeting. He wants me to talk with Everly about her family. I have been putting it off, but I know it can’t be removed any longer. With all this new information and the fact that her grandparents knew where it was this whole time and kept it from her father and brothers, it makes sense to talk with her about it now. It felt like a huge weight had been lifted off my shoulders after I told Kaden about my stepmother threatening me. I never told anyone about that, not even Tianya and Kylynn. It’s been two days since we met at Zach, Doug, and Sean’s company. I was impressed with the whole setup. The building was massive, and all the technology there was extraordinary.
