The two sat by themselves for some more time as the two families got over their shock. Gavin and his two guests, being his girlfriend and her twin sister, walked over to look at the pair as they were enjoying the quiet time without anyone around them. “So,” Gavin said as he looked at them.

“I guess I am not the bad choice anymore.” Beth, the twin sister, said with a cackle as she looked at the two people sitting. Bailey could feel the tension in Max start to rise, and she placed a hand on his knee.

“Don’t,” she said softly, and he looked at her, and his gaze softened.  He smiled softly at her and nodded to her, letting her know that he wouldn’t explode. Max knew his temper was well known when he was truly provoked.

“I didn’t say you were a bad choice.” Max stated, “I believe my point was you are not my choice.”
