Chapter 9

The brightness of the day caused her to jerk up from the bed hurriedly. She had no idea of when she slept off after crying herself to sleep.

She hissed after remembering that she would be living with a murderer that had no human sympathy in him. It was so easy for him to kill the man she saw at his office and if she didn't behave properly, he'd do the same to the people she loved.

"Dammit!" She cursed and laid on the bed again, covering her face with the duvet.

She lacked the energy to get off bed and prepare for work even though she was supposed to be ready. If everything was normal, she was supposed to be done dressing and humming her favorite song 'Dressed in black' by Sia.

But it was the opposite, and since Adrian thought he could take away her life, she was going to teach him a lesson by revealing the feisty part of her.

A knock sounded on the door but she made no effort in trying to know who was knocking.

It went on continuously until she was forced to get it. S
