I could not believe it when Lyla laid out her plans for my family. I stared at Lyla, not comprehending the extent of her evilness. How could she be this greedy? She already had everything. What more does she want?
Her greed destroyed her.
A chilling sensation coursed through my spine as I looked at Lyla. Anger, like I never knew existed gushed through my veins, prompting me to hit Lyla and knock some sense into her. Alas! I could not even move my hand an inch because Wolfsbane made me immobile.
