Chapter 73

Erin’s POV

“The fusion of nature’s elements.”  Someone breathed from the background, distracting me from my awed trance. 

There was so much wonder in that voice, but the words were full of certainty. It tells that the speaker knows what she is talking about. 

I whipped my head around in surprise to find my mother close by. The nurse Dr. Martin sent to be her regular caregiver accompanied her. 

“Luna Bella,” I whispered, putting my hands away, and the cacophony of bright colors disappeared at once. 

I heard Cirala cry as if in protest when his source of entertainment vanished. But my son's displeasure paled in comparison to the concern that gripped me upon seeing the sadness that flitted across Luna Bella's eyes.

“What’s wrong?” I asked gently when I reached her. 

Luna Bella bent her head. 

Her eyes fixated on the clasped hands on her lap. S
