His goods stolen

Hardin's POV

I woke up to the sound of my ringtone. I sluggishly moved my hand around the bed in search of my phone. I reached my phone and didn't bother checking the caller ID. I exhaled heavily as I placed the phone to my ear to talk.

“Yes! What is it?” I said in my groggy voice. I waited patiently to hear what the caller had to say.

“Sir! We have a problem.” He said, and my eyes opened immediately as I concentrated on the call.

“What's going on?” I asked curiously, arranging the phone properly on my ear and placing my head well on the pillow.

“Parish and his boys intercepted our goods, over-powdered our men, and carted away our goods with them.” He said, and my eyes immediately went wide as a wave of anger coursed through my veins. What is wrong with Parish? I thought as I sat up on the bed.

“Where are you?” I asked immediately as I took a deep breath to calm my nerves.

“I am the club. I just received the call and I called you straight up.” He said. And I stood up from the bed an
