"You must be Eden Mason," the professor asked. He had a rich British accent. "We already did the roll call and you were the only one absent. Thank you for joining us," he said with a hint of amusement in his tone. Edem could see why Grace was staring at her. Though he looked like he was in his early 40s, he was very tall, fit, and muscular, wearing an Armani tweed suit that matched his brown hair with a few gray strands here and there. Eden thought it was not common these days to see a man of his age looking as handsome as he did.

Eden looked apologetic and said, "I'm sorry, professor, it won't happen again."

"I don't mind if you come late or not come at all, but please ask your friend to not distract the class again," he said jokingly and smiled at Eden. "Please take a seat."
