Chapter 118

Eden stepped out of the cab and paid the driver before turning around and walking into the Mom and Pop cafe. This was the last place where she felt safe and happy. She walked in and got greeted by Mom on the counter. She quickly noticed that Eden was in distress and walked out from behind the counter and held her Eden’s.

“Oh baby, is everything alright?” Mom asked with a concerned tone. When Eden didn’t answer she walked her over to one of the private booths and sat there with her. “What’s bothering you?”

Eden took a deep breath and said, “Wherever I go, I carry problems for both myself and the people around me. They just seem to follow me and I don’t know what to do.”

Mom placed her hand over Eden’s hand and said, “Since I’ve known you, you’ve been nothing but a delight. If the people around you truly love you, you are not a problem for them. ”

“Do you mean that if I am posing as a problem for somebody, they don’t love me?” Eden asked, remembering what Bennett said to her.

Mom thoug
