Chapter 72

Eden woke up the next day, feeling a sharp twinge of pain in her head. The sound of her phone’s alarm blared through the room, making her headache even worse. She reached for her phone and saw with blurry eyes what it said. It was 5 AM. Oh shit, she thought. She had to go to the airport and pick up Grace from the airport in 3 hours. It would alone take 1 and a half hours to travel back to Florence. She was in no position to even get up and make it to the bathroom. She opened Grace’s and hers chat, and dropped a voice message, saying with a groggy voice, “Hey Gracey, I am like super wasted. Can you go ahead and get a hotel or do something, I’ll get to you later today. Sorry.”

After hitting send on the voice message, she sat up to see she was in an unfamiliar room. Before she could think of anything, she felt like the bed was calling to her like a magnet. She fell back on the pillow and went to sleep again.
