Episode 7

I remained lying on the dusty floor of this house, waiting for Cassian to approach me. If I had heard the sound of his horse-drawn carriage coming, I wouldn't have been trapped in this annoying situation.

I had wanted to avoid Cassian as much as possible, but I was forced to face him on the same day after we slept together.

I wondered what Cassian would say to me now, but I thought it would be better to just sleep.

"Hey, answer my question. Why did you leave without saying anything?" Cassian nudged my body with his sheathed sword.

I peeked with one eye closed from the floor, reluctant to answer. But I figured if I ignored Cassian's words, this empty house would be destroyed by our argument.

"Hey, Cassian," I called out, accompanied by an annoyed sigh. "Are you pretending to forget what happened last night?"

"Huh?" Cassian returned, confused by my statement. "What do you mean? What happened between us last night—"

Cassian seemed to realize his thoughts just then.
