Chapter 101

IANNA

I didn't care about everything that was happening there, not the new king or my father who wanted to be one. I just wanted to leave and never come back. "Can we please go?" I asked Aegen, he looked at me with questioning eyes but did not say anything.

He turned to my father, "We are leaving, shout if you need anything." He told him. My father looked at me and I gave him a small smile. I didn't want him to leave this and tend to me. I wanted him to get what he wanted but I didn't want to be involved.

"Are you alright baby girl?" He asked now through the mind link. "I am alright, I just need some sleep and I will be fine." He didn't respond just looked at me with sad eyes. Am sure blaming himself for not protecting me even when he was around.

What he failed to remember was the fact that I could now take care of myself. I was no longer a child who needs her parents to take care of her. Even when I lived with my mother, I took care of myself, this was nothing new to me.
