Whatever John Clark’s business was at Kingdom Ranch was I had no desire to know, in the last couple of days the two men had been in constant communication. I could tell whenever Andreas talked to him, his voice turned all business-like.

Like every other day, he disappears as soon as the sun is up. I don’t blame him, this is the price of running your own ranch, maybe he thinks that just because he held me until he fell asleep is enough.
