CHAPTER TWENTY-TWO

I made my way upstairs into the large bathroom at the end of the top floor, and all I could think about was the hot boiled water heating my cold prickly skin.

I was walking down to the bathroom when I heard Asiya's voice in the room.

"I thought you were going to help Celeste bring Fallynn back. How do you plan to do that from a battlefield?" 

"Asiya, there's a line of duty here. I can't turn my back on something like this." Barinors voice was hushed but I could still hear behind the partly closed door.

I positioned myself in ears range behind the wall beside the door, I wasn't one for eavesdropping but this seemed serious.

"So you're turning your back on us. Again." Asiya's voice broke.
