While the festivities continued, I retired into a private room with Abigail, Luthias, and Geo.  I was very unhappy that Geo came with Luthias and I made that point perfectly clear.

“Perhaps you didn’t hear me when I warned you not to step foot in Vampire Land for risk of your head,” I said as soon as the door closed behind us.

“You were serious?” Geo chuckled, nervously.

“Marriage disagrees with you,” I said, spitefully.  “You look terrible.”

“My reason for living is gone,” he said, softly.
