THE DEMON growled loudly, spreading her tentacles fast that only point in one direction. Xurden had thought that this kind of creature didn’t even learn a single thing. They forgot exorcists that could face them existed everywhere, and he was the one who was best at it since he was a god. Demons always thought they were more powerful, which made them blind to the truth. That’s why Xurden didn’t have a hard time dealing with her. As the tentacles get closer, he raised his hand, releasing ice spikes from the bloody floor. The spikes stopped the tentacles from moving, which made the demon shriek aloud. Xurden didn’t hold back, and he sent a bigger spike toward the demon hitting her stomach where she hid her heart. The demon vomited dark blood from her non-visible mouth.

“This can’t be happening,” the demon said while she looked straight at Xurden. “Why I didn’t know there was someone like you here in this city?”
