68: The Mortal Enemy

BLAKE’s POV :

The first time I heard that I might have brother was when I was seven years old. My little sister, Stephanie, was only three, so she didn't know what was happening. Mom and dad would argue day and night about it, and I’d give Stephanie my headphones so she could listen to some music. Meanwhile, I sneaked out of my room and hid by the stairwell to hear what they were arguing about.

“That kid is an abomination to our family’s good name!” mom spat angrily. “You need to do something, James, or you’re gonna lose us,”

“Well, what do you want me to do?” dad groaned in frustration.

“You need to get rid of them,”

“How?” he scoffed. “He’s not a fucking baby, the boy is seven years old,”

“Seven years?” mom shook her head and raised a hand up. “He’s as old as our Blake. So it’s been going on for that long?”
