Chapter 63

An hour to evening, Josephine was on the couch, staring out of the large glass which divided the sitting room from the patio. Her eyes were on none other than Gabriel and Lucas who sat on the pool chair, chatting away. After all the fun they had, they were finally resting and even Candice was taking a nap.

“They both look cool together,” Matilda suddenly said beside her and she moved her gaze away from them to look at her.

Smiling at her, she said, “I know right,” and then she returned her gaze back.

“Earlier today,” Matilda said and Josephine turned her body, giving her attention, “I saw the way the both of you looked at each other.”

“It’s just a normal stare, Matilda,” Josephine quickly said before she would get the wrong idea. “There is really nothing going on between us and I will like to keep it that way.”

“You said that the last time we met.”

They had met two days after she went back to Lucas apartment and she had explained all that was there to her best friend including the me
