"Please, Kate, sit down and relax," Theodora said, her tone gentle and reserved. "You're like family to us, you don't need to be so formal."

It wasn't the first time that Kate was visiting their home, although it had been a while since Kate last visited.

Kate leaned back against the couch, her shoulders slumping as she tried to relax. She crossed her legs, tucking them underneath her. Then a maid came over to the table next to her, placing a cup of tea in front of her.

Although their house was much smaller than Kate's but they were still well-off and had a name for themselves but a little push could pave more way for them in the society.

Reason why Theodora wanted her only daughter to marry Henry, if the two families were to get married, her daughter could rise to the top and make their family relevant in the society.
