CHAPTER 2

Raven's pov

" Hello Isabella or should i say raven". I turned around to look at the man in front of me. Luke wore a black suit that perfectly sets off his silky black hair that reaches just below his shoulder not to mention his broad shoulders that compliments his muscular frame but the most striking feature is his unique gold eyes.

I looked around to see many female guest looking at him some blushing while others smiled. To them he looks like an angel on earth but i know that's a lie i know he's a devil in disguise." Dragon" i said cautiously. As the both of us stared each other down.

" your drink madam" the bartender places down my drink then bows and leaves. " your drinks here" he gestured at the counter as he took a seat across from me. After i had taken a sip i looked at him from the rim of my glass." What are you doing here Luke?" I asked.

He raised an eyebrow " can't a guy come here to gamble and have fun and beside im here on business " i looked at him " not when your the most wanted and dangerous criminal on the planet you don't and besides" i said taking another sip " i know you and you don't mix business and pleasure so there must be a reason your here".

He chuckled as the waiter placed down his own drink. " clever girl" he remarks then chuckles while taking a sip of his scotch. " I'm here for someone" he says looking out unto the dancing couples. " oh new girlfriend?" i asked while looking at him.

A devilish smirk that i had long learned to fear years ago spreads across his face. He leans in closer and grabs my hips pulling me closer and whispers " oh love are you jealous?" He asked while stroking the tattoo he know i had on my right thigh causing me to shiver under his touch.

" And if i am" i said regaining control over my body. He smiled " then you don't have to be your the only woman i want and will ever need I'm here for someone who crossed me" he said pulling back putting space between us.

" oh and who might that be?" I asked his gaze became hard his golden eyes taking on a shade of red." Don't use your v.a.n.g.u.a.r.d techniques on me raven" he warns." and besides you already know who that is". I sighed " can't you let even one person who's wronged you live" he glanced at me his eyes returning to there natural colour.

" I've given you plenty of chances he glanced at me," you used to be one of us but now" he turns away in disgust after looking at me" now your working for them you left me but i understand why you did im not the heartless bastard you think i am"He says.

He clenched his jaw as his eyes flashed red. But Bermann stole from me, he has to pay raven i don't forgive, i don't show mercy that's why I'm the man i am today." He says taking a sip of his scotch ."I know" i sighed as i stared out unto the dancing couples.

The band starts playing a slow love song that i remembered from my first heist with the crew. It's the day i made my largest score and the day when everything changed Monaco.

I looked at luke to see him enraptured by the music closing his eyes to listen to the melody. When he opens his eyes to look at me he finished his drink and glanced around at everyone to see them joining the dance floor. He opened his hands out to mine inviting me to dance.

" Isabella dance with me" he says seeing my hesitation he continues " and besides petrovic is dancing as well you don't want to draw suspicion to your self?" I gave him a suspicious glance " how do you know im here for petrovic?" I asked.

he shrugged " come on raven you dont want to be the only one not dancing do you plus i can see dozens of women all looking at me hoping ill ask them so?". He holds out his hands once more.

I placed my hands into his and he smiles as he leads me unto the dance floor. He placed both hands on my hips as i placed my hands around his neck as we swayed gently to the music. He pulled me close causing our bodies to press together i closed my eyes as i breathed in his familiar scent that i know all to well a scent that makes me feel safe.

" what are you thinking about" he said twirling me then bringing me back close. I looked at him " about us" i said he raised an eyebrow. " what about us?" He asked. I shook my head " don't play dumb with me Luke you know what I'm thinking, where now forever on opposite sides of the board I'm a agent for vanguard and your a wanted criminal this thing between us is going to complicate things" I sighed.

" it doesn't have to be" he whispered. " come back to me Mia Bella come back to me my love" he said placing his forehead against mine. Tears fell from my eyes as i heard a name i haven't heard in a while it broke my heart to know that what he wanted wasn't possible not until i finished what i started.

I shook my head " i can't luke" i said looking down unto the floor " v.a.n.g.u.a.r.d has Intel on who killed my family i can't leave until they tell me who's done it so I'm sorry but i can't leave with you" i said still looking at the marble floor as we continued to dance." Shhh its ok no need to explain do what you have to do " he said placing a finger under my chin and lifted my head to look into his eyes.

He stroked my jaw while looking at me before leaning in i was so caught up in his spell that i found my self leaning in also ignoring the warning flashing through my head as i know who i was dealing with. He brought his lips centimeters apart from my own and whispered " v.a.n.g.u.a.r.d might own you" he whispered causing my to shiver." But these lips and the rest of you there mine" he said claiming my lips as his own.

He kissed me passionately pulling me close so that not a fraction of space was between us. He broke the kiss to start kissing down my neck stopping to gently bite my collar bone causing me to moan quietly . " mine" he said kissing me once more.

Suddenly my vision began to darken as i pushed him away and began to feel weak. Looking at him i saw him looking at me with a small smile spreading across his face. As i feel to the ground barely holding unto consciousness i saw him standing over me.

" goodnight Agent" .

And with that i feel into the darkness.
