CHAPTER 48

CEDRICS POV

Memories of the past about how I met Saya flooded inside my head. Those words Vanessa asked of me, were the exact same words Saya asked the first time we met at the lake. Saya was crying so sadly beside the lake begging under the full moon to give her mother back to her. Her eyes are filled with loneliness, she's exhausted and her face says she's at her limit.

"What exactly are you asking me to take away from you?" I asked. "Is it only the loneliness or is it the memory that makes you feel lonely?"

"Why? Can you take this feeling away from me?" She asked crying.

"I can. So which is it?"

"T-The memories... Take the memories of my mother from me. I can't bear to live another day remembering how she died because of me. Please..."
