Chapter 16 Serenade

"I thought we were going somewhere?" I asked as I noticed that we were heading home.

"Can't I change my mind? Maybe next time, Daphne. I have some errand need to attend to." I just shrugged, agreeing, looking back outside the window.

Cara doesn't understand why suddenly her mood changes. There's something she was shrugging off, kind of didn't want to feel.

After half a minute, "Who's that guy?" I turned on her before I spoke.

"Who?" That's probably the basketball player from earlier, maybe not.

"Never mind." My eyes narrowed as I shrugged again, returning to my first position when she said that.

"Language, Daphne. Since when did you learn to cuss," A tone of annoyance as she darkened her eyes at me.

The hell. I was shocked when, unawares, the car stopped. What fit reaction does she expect from me? I almost slammed my face in front.
