Nobody was saying anything, and that was fine with me. I welcomed the silence with open arms. I held onto my father's hand, our smiles mirroring each other's. The last time I saw him was the morning of the attack that led to this mess. You can imagine just how much I missed him.

"Sorry to disturb your reunion, but if you don’t mind, I need to check up on him," Drew suddenly announced, breaking the peaceful moment and disturbing our bonding time.
