Chapter 42

AARON

I spent the last two hours getting everything I needed for tonight. I didn't really have much of an option since this one was planned on the spot, but I was glad Dad was helping me out. And he didn't even question why I was doing it. He just did what I asked him to do. 

After everything was set, I took a quick shower in my room at our house and took the key to my motorcycle, which I haven't used in a while.

I couldn't even remember the last time I was in it.

All I remembered right now was the feeling of nostalgia as I set the ball of my right foot onto the kick start lever and firmly pushed it down. I still have an old-school bike, but I prefer this one over the new one. 

And not long after, I was already driving the bike towards the packhouse to pick up Janna. The thought of her riding on my back was enough to pump up my energy.
