I blinked severally, I tried to understand the words he spoke.

'I'm the fourth,' those words kept ringing in my brain unbelievably.

I looked at him and expected him to say it was a joke he was pulling on me but in the few days I had known and lived with him, I had learned that he was not a jester or a fan of jokes.

"You look serious," I commented

"I can't remember the last time I was not," his response had me searching through his face for the slightest glimpse of a joke but there was none.
