Larissa was ecstatic when she received the news that she had been posted to a specialist hospital nearby. She had always wanted to work in a hospital that offered specialized care and now she finally had the opportunity. Although the hospital was only a few minutes away, Stanley was not excited seeing her come back home again, Stanley, her husband doesn't want Larissa anywhere around him,
"Are you sure you are back Into this house again?" Stanley asked,
Larissa smiled, "Yes, I'm back, but, I have been posted to Saint Mickeal specialist hospital as a qualified and registered nurse” Larissa explained,
“Good for you, but you can as well tell them to provide you a shelter Inside the hospital” Stanley said,
“There Is no need for that because, I have a home near the hospital” Larissa said,
“Do you think we are still bonded with anything called marriage?“ Stanley basked,
“What do you mean,” Larissa asked,
“I'm sick and tired of you In this house, Infact, seeing your horrible face make me sick, please, leave me alone, let's go on our separate way, you might see another man that could cherish and adore you, I don't want you to waste your time with me” Stanley said,
Larissa didn't say anything, she just walked Into the bath, freshen up, and dressed up and went to work,
Larissa arrived at work looking frustrated, and shattered, to the extent that, some of her colleague understand that she was disturbed,
After she had attended to the patients she was assigned to, Larissa called her friend, Harriet, “hi, Larissa, how have you been coping with your newfound job?“ Harriet asked,
“All Is well,” Larissa retorted, “Hey, Harriet, can I talk to you for a second?" Larissa said over the phone, “can I confide In you?“ she asked,
"Of course, what's going on?" Harriet replied.
"I don't know if I'm just being paranoid, but something is off with Stanley, since we had got married, he had never touching me, and I don't wahat I can do to make him touch me, I want children and happiness In marriage, but Stanley Is making It difficult” Larissa explained,
"What do you mean by strange?" Harriet asked, concerned.
"Well, for starters, he's been spending a lot more time on his computer, and he's been talking to someone online quite a bit. He keeps saying it's nothing, but I don't know," Larissa started.
"That does sound strange. Have you tried talking to him about it?" Harriet suggested.
"I have, but he just gets defensive and says I'm overreacting," Larissa replied.
"Well, as your friend and as a nurse, I suggest you do something about it before it's too late. Have you considered maybe drugging him and seeing if he confesses to anything?" Harriet said, shocking Larissa.
"What?! Harriet, I can't do that! That's illegal!" Larissa exclaimed.
"I know it's illegal, but sometimes we have to do what's necessary to protect ourselves. Plus, if he's doing something he shouldn't be, then it's better to find out sooner rather than later," Harriet countered.
Larissa hesitated for a few moments before finally saying, "Okay, fine. What do I get, and how exactly do I do it?"
Harriet smiled triumphantly. "Welcome to the dark side. Now, there are several drugs you can use, but I suggest you go for something like sedative, and if you give him enough, he'll be out for a few hours. Then, you can go through his computer or phone while he's sleeping and see what he's been up to." Harriet explained,
Larissa still felt uneasy about the whole thing, but she knew Harriet was right. She had to find out what Stanley was up to. "Okay, I'll do it. But how much should I give him?"
"Start with one pill and see how he reacts. If he's still awake after an hour or so, then give him another one. But be careful not to give him too much, or he could go into a coma," Harriet warned,
Larissa nodded, feeling a mix of excitement and fear. "Okay, I'll let you know how it goes." She said,
Larissa was eager to go home because she was to practice what Harriet told her, and she even wanted to go beyond what her friend, Harriet thought her,
Arriving home, she met her husband In the living room, and she hastily went upstairs, she while, her husband, Stanley pretends not seeing her,
Hours later, Stanley walked Into the bedroom, met Larissa on the bed pretending sleeping, and snoring, Stanley just hissed, walked Into the bathroom, bath, and took a bottle of water Inside the bedroom refrigerator, and he drinks little out of the water, and laid far beside his despised wife,
A while later, Stanley, still half asleep, drank all the water without thinking twice. Within minutes, his eyes started to close, and he fell back onto the bed, snoring softly,
Larissa waited for a few more minutes to make sure he was fully asleep before she started to go through his phone and computer. She checked his messages, emails, and social media accounts, but she couldn't find anything suspicious. Frustrated, she was about to give up when she found a hidden folder on his computer.
Curious, she opened the folder and was shocked to find hundreds of pictures and videos of him and another woman. They had been dating for years, and the pictures showed them doing everything from holding hands to kissing passionately.
Larissa felt like her heart was breaking as she looked through the pictures. She couldn't believe that Stanley would cheat on her like this. Her mind was racing, trying to figure out what to do next.
Harriet's voice suddenly echoed in her head. "If he's doing something he shouldn't be, then it's better to find out sooner rather than later," she had said.
Larissa made up her mind then and there. She was going to confront Stanley and make him confess everything.
The next morning, Stanley woke up groggy and confused. He had no idea what had happened in the night before, but when he saw the look on Larissa's face, he knew something was wrong.
"Larissa, what's going on?" he asked, and he checked out his body, and he realized what has happened, but before, Stanley could come up with violence, she came up with an idea,
Larissa showed him the pictures on his computer, and she asked, “Is this why you want me out of your life?“ she asked, “so, you choose Barbara over me” she Inquired nervously while tears dripping down from her eyes,
“Why did you do what you did to me?“ Stanley asked, “ I understand what you did, but It can't change my mind” Stanley said, and he stood up from the bed without answers to Larissa's questions,
Larissa sat on the couch Inside the bedroom watching Stanley, as he was shutting down his laptop computer, and he took his phones, and he left Larissa alone In the bedroom,
Meanwhile, Larissa thought by doing what she did, Stanley supposed to feel for her and gives her attention, but she was wrong In her thought, and she burst Into tears,
"A while later, Stanley came Into the bedroom and he said, "If you refused to leave, I will," Stanley said, and he freshen and dressed up, took her car keys, and he drove to one of the five stars hotel, and he checked In,
Stanley was In the hotel room, his frustration with Larissa reaching its peak. and he asked "How dare she invade my privacy like that? I can't stand her constant snooping into my laptop and phones,
"I can't stand her beside me," he said, "why did I even married her,"?" Stanley asked himself, "I hate her with passion,
A while later, Stanley couldn't stand It, he parked few things, and left,
Stanley stormed out of the house, his frustration with Larissa reaching its peak, "how dare she invaded my privacy like that? he asked, can't stand her constant snooping into my laptop and phone" he said, It was as if he didn't trust her at all. as he walked briskly down the street, his mind skipped with all the things he wanted to say to her. He couldn't believe she had the audacity to think she had the right to invade his personal space like that. How would she feel if he did the same to her?Feeling frustrated and furious, Stanley pulled out his phone and dialed his personal assistant, Paul. "Maxwell, I need you to come to the house immediately," he said, his voice trembling with anger. "I want you to pack a few of my clothes and bring them to the hotel. I can't stand being in the same house.with Larissa right now." Stanley explained, Maxwell, who had worked for Stanley for years and had witnessed many of their fights, knew better than to ask questions. "Of course, Mr. Stanl

Larissa rubbed her tired eyes and yawned before making her way to the door, stumbling over strewn clothes and discarded shoes.Opening the door, Larissa found herself face to face with a tired looking hospital cleaner named Ruth. "No worries, Ruth, go ahead and do your job," she said, stepping aside to let the cleaner enter the room. She couldn't help but feel of envy as she watched Ruth move about the room energetically, effortlessly tidying everything in sight,As the cleaner worked, Larissa climbed back into bed, her body sinking comfortingly into the mattress. She couldn't resist the pull of sleep and dozed off, even with the faint sound of Ruth's vacuum cleaner
Harriet reached out and gently squeezed Larissa's hand. "Larissa, being strong doesn't mean you can't ask for help or take care of yourself, It means recognizing your own needs and being kind to yourself, you can't pour from an empty cup, my dear." She explained, Larissa smiled weakly, grateful for Harriet's wisdom. "You're right, as always, I need to learn to prioritize myself and my baby's health, It's okay to take a step back and ask for support." She said,Harriet nodded, her eyes filled with pride, "Exactly!
