Chapter 5.

Aini knew he was actually wrong, just said thank you while bowing and then just left. But it couldn't be helped, she was afraid that she would be there for a long time to see Leo. During this time, he managed to avoid Leo even though he met it must be many people, so it is likely that Leo could not mess with him.

But just now, they were just two of them. If there hadn't been anyone to stop Leo's actions to help him, he didn't know what his fate would be now. While walking quickly to get home early to relieve a little fatigue, even though he knew it was unlikely that his fatigue would go away. Or maybe it gets more tired when he's caught off guard.

(**)

When Aini got home, she hadn't even had time to put her things down, her stepmother and stepbrother had even directly told her to cook lunch without caring that Aini might still be tired.

“You have to cook to my taste and tongue!” said Zaline, her boss-based half-sister, because after her mother died, she was forced to live with her papa. Inevitably, half-heartedly, because someone has to pay for it as well as the one who takes care of it. At that time, he was only 15 years old. He hasn't been able to tell which people are bad and wonderful. Originally, he doubted that his half-brother was also bad, just like this half-heart.

She never saw her stepmother, but she knew that her papa used to always put her mother Zaline ahead of her mother and she was a legal wife and child. Because she heard from her mother that her stepmother was her ex-papa before she knew her mother.

Nia, the younger brother of one father and her mother, who was in the first grade of high school, also dared to scold her. Even though when his sister was in elementary school and was not going to enter junior high school, she was still guarded and carried by her, but now just to see her, her sister seems to be disgusted. I don't know what he did wrong, he never knew.

“I'm still just home, Mi. Can't it be in a while? I'll make it,” he said with a smile.

“Nothing later! Do you know that we're already hungry? Don't bully you!” said Mami Zaline with a natural wrath.

“Quick! Over time, I went home from college. I'm already so hungry." exclaimed Nia irritably.

“Hurry up! It's really long!”  joined in scolding while pulling Aini's arm until the book she was holding fell off.

“Oops. Not on purpose,” she said, covering her mouth in a sign she felt good.

“You guys, why the hell? What did I do wrong?” asked Aini almost sobbing.

“I'm crying again,” Nia said, pushing Aini to the ground.

"You don't have to talk so much. Lu was wrong because of your mother, who married papa lo first made me not become papa lo's biological son and I suffered,” Zaline replied, pulling Aini's hair.

Suddenly Niar, her stepmother, came over.

“What are we wrong with you, Ni? Why have you never accepted your aunt and brother? Zaline is not your papa child but Nia is your sister,” Niar said sobbing.

Aini, who didn't understand, panicked after hearing her father's snap. “What's this all about?” he asked.

“This, Mas, Aini as always looks down on Zaline,” Niar said acting in front of her husband.

“yes, Pi, he insulted me again,” Zaline said, "even he scolded Nia,” she added.

Nia, who had been silent, finally spoke, “He didn't want to make me lunch, even though I really wanted him, Pi” she said, glancing at Aini who stammered incredulously they blamed her for everything she didn't even do.

“You have always been. The child does not know to benefit. It always adds to my burden,” Hendarmo said to his daughter.

“Not me, Pi. A–I'm just—”

Not having time for Aini to answer, her papa had already cut off her remarks, “You are indeed not much different from your mother, who always does trouble. And justify any means of obtaining his wish. You always make trouble. Zaline is not your real brother, but what's the harm to you, Aini? Even Nia is your sister. I regret taking care of you after your mother died. Because parenting bars like you always give me a headache.” His father was furious without him knowing that Aini was fixated on hearing what his father said just now.

She fell silent and almost a word of truth came out, but seeing Zaline threatening her, she finally pursed her lips again.

“Forgive Aini, Pi, Aini was wrong. Aini will not repeat it again. Excuse me,” Aini said coldly and then passed.

Hendarmo didn't understand why his son Aini was getting more and more unruly and the longer he liked to refute and insult his brother. She knew Aini had been hurt by her remarks, but she had to be firm because if she didn't, Aini could have become more and more, and she didn't want her children to be hostile, without her knowing that all of this was Niar's plan to destroy her and her own biological daughter.

“I'm sorry papa yes, Zaline, Nia. Maybe Aini doesn't understand that her actions are wrong.”  Hendarmo pleaded with his other two daughters.

"It's okay, Pi,” the two said in unison.

“Never mind, Pi, might be Aini is in a lot of trouble. Later, we can also have a good talk. It's better now that we just eat first, it's already hungry,” Niar invited, blinking his eyes to his children.

After they had eaten and talked for a while, Hendarmo wanted to go to his room and accidentally saw his daughter, Aini, asleep on her study table. She looked for a moment and closed her daughter's room. All that attention did not escape the vision of Niar as his legal wife now. Finally, he went to Aini's room, and woke her up.

“Hey, wake your sleeper! You slacker!” snapped Niar.

However, due to exhaustion, Aini did not wake up. Irritated, Niar finally pulled Aini's hand to blink.

“Why, Mi?” he asked in a slightly hoarse voice.

“Why, why? You sorted out all the house because me and Zaline were going out for a while, while Nia went to her school," Niar ordered.

“But I'm still sleepy, Mi,” Aini said.

“You slacker." Niar pulled Aini to her feet and turned her head and pushed Aini. When she saw her husband's shadow about to appear, she threw herself down and then pretended to be accused.

“Aini, I just want to wake you up. Why the hell are you pushing mami?” he said, starting to complain.

“It's not that Mami is pushing Aini, huh?” said Aini innocently without knowing that her father was already at the door of the room.

“Aini, what are you, my wife, huh?” the papi exclaimed loudly as he helped his wife up.

“Papi see you're getting more and more day by day, huh?! You don't know yourself!”

Plaque! A slap was thrown by his father to him.

So far, indeed, the stepmother and Zaline tortured her even though Nia did not participate in giving violence, but the words after words that were scornful were always received by her. And today he couldn't believe that his father slapped him even though he never actually defended him and was even scolded, but his father didn't really scold him manually. Now that he sees even feeling himself in defence of his wife and stepson, he abandons his own biological child.

“Papi regrets having a child like you. You are the same as your mother. After you graduated you came out of this house, in this house you didn't accept a kid like you,” his father said.

“Pi, don't be so. He's your son after all,” rich Niar started acting again and Aini had enough of all this. All this time he was silent, not because of fear, just didn't want to make a fuss, but it turned out that his father was carrying his mother in this debate.

“Fine, if one day papa accepts the truth, then papa will regret it for a lifetime. And after that, I won't forgive papa,” Aini said with a wounded face, but the look in her eyes was cold.

Instantly Hendarmo seemed to see his ex-wife in his son, even though Aini inherited a female version of his face.

“What are you talking about, Aini?” interrupted Niar, “you shouldn't be,” he said again.

“Auntie doesn't have to pretend, if one day auntie is in trouble, then I'm certain that person is not the papa that auntie first looked for. And if one day Papa falls, I'm sure my aunt will leave her. Stop pretending!” said Aini coldly.

“Aini, what did you say?” asked Niar.

Hendarmo, who had been silent from just now, finally made a sound. “Do whatever you want, but don't disturb my family. Go if you've graduated. I would rather not have a daughter like you, either. Because if you are done, then my job is done taking care of you,” Hendarmo said and then walked out of Aini's room followed by Niar from behind, turning his head towards Aini, mockingly saying indirectly that Aini lost.

After they came out, Aini decayed to the floor and cried there until she fell asleep.
