The award for new talent had been proudly presented to the director. The students continued amidst applause and noise, chanting his name even though he was no longer on the stage. He was still on campus, heading towards his locker. He could feel the frowning and perhaps even disappointing looks from his friends behind him as he walked away. But he didn't look back; he kept going until he couldn't feel the disapproving gazes behind him and was in front of his locker.

The hallways were empty; he was alone. The rest were on campus amidst the music and the atmosphere. He opened his locker and placed the small trophy inside. While doing so, he heard some repetitive applause, but the clapping was slower. He closed the locker door and saw who was applauding: Melia. She was approaching slowly, still clapping, until she stopped clapping and let her arms fall to her sides.
