FIRST APPEARANCE

After making plans with his brother, Ethan, Matthew went to meet his grandfather, who was in his bedroom. The moment he saw Matthew, his eyes lit up and he smiled.

Matthew went to sit beside him and asked, "You seem lost in thought, grandfather. Are you okay?"

"I am okay," he said. "It's just that at my age, sometimes I feel as though I'm too hard on all of you. But the truth is that I want you all to make something out of your life. I want you to strive for the best. You cannot have things handed down to you. Do you understand what I'm saying?"
