Chapter 20

Douglas POV

I'm told May is sent on a mission by the moon goddess, could this be the same mission she was talking of? Is this the war she was telling me about? How would the moon goddess send a female on a war mission, but they're lots of males here.

"When will she return?" I asked the maid that served me before her.

"Why should you worry, she's a powerful moon spirit, that's why the moon goddess sent her on this mission rather than any of us."

"When will she return?" I'm not quite sure I can survive here for a long time without her. Initially I felt so convenient before this maid but since May started attending to me I feel so bad having her not beside me. I lower my head in disappointment. I don't really know how I feel without the one I love.

"You seem to worry so much about her, do you like her?" The young lady in front of me blushed immediately as the words escaped her mouth. This was a tactics to make me quit asking further questions, though I love her I didn't think it was ok
