Again Mj stopped outside the ornate double doors of Azreal’s private office and exhaled as the sight of the carved wolf and the symbolism of the heart splitting down the middle as the doors opened, broke something inside Mj and without warning the emotionally Stoic woman collapsed to her knees in tears. Ace stepped over Mj and into Azreal’s office as the Alpha doubled back to attend to his sobbing assassin. Mj felt Azreal’s hands touch her back, and she jerked herself upright, “sorry Alpha… I don’t know what–” Azreal crossed his arms over his chest and shook his head, but before he could speak Ace came barreling back out of the office with his finger wagging in Mj’s face, “you’re going into heat and that makes you useless-” Azreal cleared his throat and Ace instantly bowed his head, submitting to his Alpha.
