Stefan POV
He was right under noses the entire time, Azrael fed on Mel insecurities just to get close to Lilith.
“That day I saw him at the book store, the way he looked at me... I should have known,” Lilith sobbed, her eyes were red and swollen from excessive crying, “How did he even do that, can he be two places at once?”
“No, teleporting for him is easy, he was an angel, so he teleported on and off that ship as he likes,” I explain.
But it wasn't the teleporting that bother me, he said something and it has been puzzling me since, and I think we need to find out what it is before trying to rescue Isaac or Mel.
“There is a rat in the house,” I yelled “everyone outside now,” I shoved them outside, closing the door loudly behind me,
“The house is bugged,” I whispered.
“What... How do you know this?” My brother asked,
“Because of what
Damon POVWe had to take the car, we couldn't teleport because Lilith hasn't learned how to differentiate between the two energy field as yet, but if Azrael is losing his power, we might have a chance at beating Eve, she keeps releasing prisons, to have them defeated and sent back to Taratus, Lilith will kill her, and she won't even see it coming. I am only worried about Liliths capability to make that decision, her emotions are both her strengths and weaknesses and that scares me, it's a good thing to want to save others, but some aren't worth saving, some like Eve, and if Lilith backs out at the last moment, I'll just have to kill her my self and deal with the consequences afterward, but Eve must die, and I have made up my mind to take her down, my first love.“Hey, you ok?” Lilith tugged on my arm.“Yea,I am fine, just thinking that's all,”“Don't worry, we are going to catch him,”
Lilith POV“What do you mean it's gone?” Issac screeched.“When we got there it was gone, the bodies, the portal—”“What bodies?”“Vampires, but when we found them they were two days old, so I knew they would turn into dust the next day,” Stefan explained.“Why?” I questioned,“The bodies were right in front of the windows, and they are big enough to reflect the right amount of sunlight,”“That's a thing? Vampires and sunlight?” I asked.“Yes, immediate contact with sunlight, could kill a vampire, however, if the vampire is already dead, it will take three days for the body to degenerate,” Isaac mumbled.“But why was a cult of vampires there in the first place?”“I think before he died, Lucifer gave them a spare key or a way to access the room, usually when but this is the puzzling part, vampi
Lilith POVThinking about it, I just realized, he says he knows nothing, but who pays him, the better question is, how does he get the booze?Backing away from him, my heart ached, just when I was starting to think of him as one of us, a friend, but now he is a potential suspect,“Answer me, before I rip your head off,”“Lilith— come on, don't you trust me?”Looking into his eyes I could see his innocence, he was just a kid, but after what happened with Thomas, I know I am a poor judge of character, and I know Azrael and Eve can make a killer out of anyone,“Just answer the question, Max,” I whispered, looking away.“I don't know ok, everyone gets paid the same, I go in and find an envelope with my name with money in it, as for the booze, it's always there if I sold a whole bottle of bloody mary today, tomorrow it's refilled, so— I don't
Lilith POV“What is she doing at the sanctuary?” Stefan questioned,But I didn't know, I knew nothing, but I could tell that something was right, I could feel it,“I am— not sure,” I whispered,“Ok, so let's all go, it's probably a trap,” Max sprung to his feet.“Not so fast, you and I are staying, we need to have a chat about who your father is,” Isaac grumbled.“But how do we enter the sanctuary, no demon can pass through its gates,” Stefan mumbled,“I don't know that either,” I mumbled.“Ok, I say we go at nightfall, when we get there we figure out a way in,” Stefan suggested.“Guys, I have to bounce,”Max stared at his phone, “Regardless of everything that is going on, I have to keep the club afloat, so— just stay safe and come back in one piece, will ya?” He smiled at me,
Lilith POV“Mom— you're the Oracle?” My lips trembled,“This is your mother— the one you grew up with here?” Stefan gazed at me.“I don't understand— and Dad?” I pressed my lips into a thin line.“He is a warlock,” my mother smiled, “I know you have many questions, but please my dear, walk with me,” she stretches her hand to me,“Madam Oracle, we— don't understand,” Stefan complained.“You can call me Catherine, and you don't need to understand Stefan, what's done is done... If we may me, Lilith and I must talk, it's a conversation I've waited on for years,” She grumbled,Strolling up to her, she whirled around descending slowly into the darkness, catching up to her, we were now aligned with each other.“I've practiced for this moment for a long time and I still don't know what to say, She mumbled,“How about
Stephan POVOver at the apartment, Lilith and Mel share, I was packing some items Lilith might need on the trip, “That's a crazy idea,” Isaac complained, “Eve will have her head if she steps into Hell unprepared,”“Well, she already decided, there is nothing I can do about it,” I lifted my hands starting at an elegant black dress, it was nice.“But you know its madness, Stefan, this is what Eve wants, she's breaking her, so killing her would be easier,”Folding the dress, I stuffed it into the bag, glancing at him, “Yea, well Lilith want to end it, look around Isaac, Eve has us cornered, the best to we can do is surrender and hope for a miracle,”“She will die—”“You almost die! And we brought you back, and her best friend is somewhere, out there losing her mind and you want Lilith to just let her die?” I snapped.“Many have died before, and many will die
Lilith POVWalking alongside a riverbank, I was barely keeping up with the brothers they were way ahead of me, and they weren't slowing down,“This is how you treat visitors?” I spoke loud enough for them to hear,“Sorry—we were just discussing, we got carried away,” Damon apologized,“I can see that, but we've been walking for what seems like hours, where exactly are we going?”“We have to walk until we find the ferryman, or he finds us, it's our only way across river Styx,” Stefan mumbled,Looking at the river, I noticed something odd, the water wasn't clear, it had a dark shade of grey, and it didn't have a flowing sound like it did before, it was quiet, way too quiet,“What is wrong with the river, I've never seen— or heard a river tide in silence,”“What you heard before was water, but the further
Damon POVI should have known, of course, it had to Cerberus, he will always be a sneaky dog, who is loyal to nothing or nobody but himself, I honestly wanted Stefan to kill even though they would have thrown him in Tartarus for fighting outside the ring, even Hell has rules.“Lilith, he is no cab driver, he is a demonic dog who drives everyone around him to outrage, he strikes off chaos, and he isn't sure whose side he's on,” I snapped, sickened standing in his presence.Rolling his eyes, he flashed a radiant smile, making a mockery of my solemnity, “Why is everyone thinking I am on a side these days, I am rooting for Hell, I love my home and I want what's best for it, and trust me— it's not Eve,”“Then why did you try to sabotage us... Lying to steal our coins, that was low, Cerbi,” Stefan glared
