Chapter 62: Confession Time

"I will tell you everything. Please, promise me you will protect me from them," she pleaded

"Protect you from who?" Luis questioned turning to look at her with his hand on the doorknob.

Luis thought about her request for a while and gave her a nod. He gestured to her to sit, and she obliged.

"Now tell me everything you know," Luis requested

"It was not really about the money as my life and that of my sister were threatened" she said

"I don't know the lady in question. My husband was into that kind of business. That is why they came to find me. They just asked me to inject her with the medication they gave me" she added

"Hmm, I see. Did they come to your house, or did they meet you somewhere?" Luis questioned

"I was taken from my house at dawn. I was sleeping. Next, I felt a hand and a cloth covering my mouth. I woke up in what looked like a basement. That is where they instructed me on what to do. I returned to my house the same way" she re
