CXLVII. Invitation to the Manor

Due to the event that night, the Mercators notice how Niana begins to get distant from them. But they were without idea that Oneil confronted her. All that they touted was the imminent loss of her power inside the manor since Oneil and Jacques might return any time sooner. When Grant found out that his grandsons visited the place, he urged Frederick to bring him to Oneil's place.

Frederick cannot deny such an order. So he brought Grant to Oneil's house that was hidden from the knowledge of the old man. Oneil approved Frederick's plan since it is in line to his intention. This must be the right time to show him his place.

Grant entered the gates with an immediate search of Oneil. His grandson met him at the main door. Oneil greeted him.

"I never knew that you have a place like this," Grant said. His eyes reveal the appreciation to the building and its interiors.
