Chapter Thirty-Seven: Green Eyes

"Katie's POV"

My bare feet crushed the earth, the soft soil mushing between my toes. Looking around, I saw nothing but fog, my dampened long hair dangling in my face. Wearing jeans and a simple pink v-neck shirt like when I had laid down to nap. The fog thickens as it swirls in from nowhere. Taking more steps forward, the fog seemed to thicken more around me, the air becoming dense and hard to breathe. Looking down, I am suddenly wearing the red dress made for mine and Jax's ceremony, running my hand down my own side. This all feels so real. But it has to be a dream. Sticks snap behind me, setting my heart to a racing beat. All I can see is a sheet of white fog, making a slow circle. I listen closer.
