Two Red Lines

Leah pressed the loudspeaker button, letting Adrian listen to the information from Mr. Barnes.

"Damn it! How could I not be aware of this situation!" Adrian clenched his weak fists. Leah pressed the red button on her cellphone, ended the call from Mr. Barnes.

Mr. Barnes said that Damien was involved in many of the crimes that Jerome committed. He found some flow of funds between them. But that's not what surprised them. Rather it was a fact that Venetia and Damien were lovers and both worked for Jerome.

"When do you think things started between them?" asked Leah, confused. "I don't know, maybe before our meeting in Paris a few months ago, they were both really pain in the ass!" anger still filled Adrian's mind.
