124: Fear of Falling for a Masquerade

Lizzie let out a deep sigh as she settled into the passenger seat. The car began to move slowly forward, the mellow music filling part of the void inside it, preventing the atmosphere from becoming suffocating.

Lizzie turned her gaze towards the window. She thought she could avoid him for a day, even if it was just one day, she would be willing. However, she had not lasted even half a day before she found herself trapped with him in the small space of the car. The morning's events still haunted her like a nightmare, impossible to erase.
