It was almost seven in the evening when Valerie placed the gold bracelet with crystal embellishments on her wrist. The bracelet is in her jewelry box and Valerie can't remember when she bought it. The bracelet was just there, until Valerie thought it was one of the things her late mother had kept by her father.
