Chapter - 41 : Missing
For a second, I couldn't feel my heartbeat.
"Patient?" Mike frowned. "Kelvin is a doctor?"
The sudden thumping of my heart against my chest hurt. My palms were getting wet at the thought of where this discussion was going to lead.
"Yeah," Kelvin's friend said. "Kelvin is a therapist. I saw you at his office, right?"
I had been trying to figure out how he would know me when it suddenly hit me. Last week, when I'd been running out of Kelvin's office, I had bumped into him. Shit!
My gaze shuffled between Mike and Kevin's friend. I swallowed hard when Mike's intense gaze fixed on me. He needed an explanation and I could clearly see that in his eyes.
