“Alpha!” someone shouts at me.
I jump up ready for a fight, blinking my eyes and remembering I’m not in my dorm or in the war room. Where…Oh yeah. Gran convinced us to stay last night and rest up, she said we would need our strength and would be safer for now in the bunker.

Leah’s POV I am super groggy as I try to sit up. All I can see is mist in the twilight darkness. My head is throbbing and I have no idea where I am. “Anyone there?” I whisper yell. I want to see if anyone is here to help, but I also don’t want someone who may wish me harm to know I am awake. I take a few tentative steps forward. Leah’s POV “What do you mean by ‘a problem?’” I ask. “My father put in the three moons limit to give me time to find my mate, that was the point. Why is that a problem?” “Unfortunately, the contract says you have three moons to be marked by Trent, there is nothing about the fated mate stated in the contract. LeahI push away from him slightly and he frowns at the rejection. I close my eyes and take a deep breath, his scent filling every dark corner of my mind helping me to wake up and think clearly.A panic attack, really? I had a panic attack? How can I lead if I have panic attacks when a pack member dies. It’s war, people die all the time, as an Alpha I really should not be affected so much by this. And Damien had to rescue me. I know he's apologizing, but he shouldn't have to help me like that. We should fight side by side as equals, not have the balance so tipped that he’s worried for me just as much as any other pack member. The whole point of all of this was to not be a burden, to be helpful and all I have done is made things worse for everyone.
