Leah
I forgot how much I really enjoy building things that help my pack. Having several days off running for our lives has brought that sense of purpose to the surface.
I am working with a few of the gammas who helped me run the war room previously. The motion sensors are all up and running now and just need to be tested. “We will send out a patrol group in each territory to test the motion sensors in the ground and the ones that activate the video surveillance.” I say looking at my team. “Is there anything else they could test while they are out there?”
“We should take some time to check blind spots. I feel like that is how we missed the activity before you and Renee were taken and probably how we missed the movements of Max and Victor and their witch.” Tristan says with a sneer.
Thank you for reading. Any constructive comments are always welcome and gems are appreciated.
Leah “Alright, looks like everyone is in place” Elyse tells us. As the scout team is exiting the tunnels near the Silver Mist internal border. We can see clearly on the tunnel cameras and the cameras facing the tunnel exit are good to go. We switch over to systematically checking all the cameras in the area. With the former alphas and the addition of the new trackers there were 10 in the group. We have five circling on patrol and five testing the cameras. “Camera one and two are good, there is about a three foot blind spot where someone could stand if they know about the cameras.” Elyse is taking notes. “Have Demitri walk south east again..stop, I just lost him. Someone take note of that position. Have him walk again..stop, he’s back on camera. Now we need to know how wide that bllind spot goes. Have someone stand on
Leah [Present] It had been two days of tracking and testing. We have almost all of the cameras up and Elyse, Ellinore and I snuck off to install Bertha along the mountain border of Silver Mist and Blue Moon. What I didn’t tell Ellinore is that Elyse and I also installed Bertha along the Crescent moon border too. We need to test it on the guys to make sure that we can stun any of our enemies, not kill them. I want to be able to question everyone and give them a chance to give us information and to see how many of them are under Alpha command or a compelling spell. “Can you guys run a full patrol route today? We have a couple things we want to check after making tweaks to the motion sensors.” I ask Damien as we are both avoiding getting out o
55 I’m sitting with Damien, Elyse, Demitri, Ellinore, Danielle, Jessica, Trent, Renee and Taylor eating dinner. We have worked out meal times so we filter in every half hour or so. We let the families with young kids and the omegas that will shift out for later meal times go first. We don’t base it on rank. As an alpha group we decided that was the best. We needed to know our people and can’t do that if we don’t intermingle. “What do you think Max is planning? Why would he clear out his packhouse? And the Blood Moon packhouse.” Jessica asks, looking at Trent and Taylor. “I don’t know. He’s had us blocked since we came to get Leah and never returned.” Taylor supplied with a dark look in his eyes.
Leah I wake up in Damien’s arms a little confused. I was so used to being in my dorm room I had forgotten that we moved into the packhouse a week ago. We have gotten so many things done in the last week and the pack members seem to be happy with the changes we are making and the things we are choosing to keep the same for now. We have been doing pack meetings every couple of days to check in with all of the work that is being done. Silver Mist, Blazing River, Dark Forest, Crescent Moon, Night Fang, Black Lake and Rising Sun territories have all been updated and are being actively monitored and patrolled. We are monitoring Blood Moon, Red Claw and Blue Moon territories, just not the same way. After our first discovery of the packhouses being cleared out at Red Claw and Blood Moon our patrol
Leah The glow disappeared as I let go of Danielle’s shoulder, but the buzz continued as we stood in the circle. “Don’t move” I mindlinked to all of them. “I can still feel our connection.” Out loud I asked Bronwyn, “What can we do with this connection? I can actually feel myself getting stronger, more energized, the longer we are like this. Do we need to be like this or just in proximity? Can we mindlink all of the time now, or only when we are connected?” “Relax and breathe, you only made the connection when you all were calm and focused on what you were doing together. As far as a mindlink, I have no idea. I have never met more than one other hybrid in my life. So whether that is a magic thing or a wolf thing or both is a question for the moon goddess. Although
Leah “Well, that was a turn of events.” Bronwyn said from her prone position on the ground. I rushed over to help her up. “What do you mean?” Renee questioned “If my guess is correct, you all just linked your pack as one. Can you hear the voices? Feel the presence of each member?” She asked dusting herself off. “Yes! This is amazing” Elyse is shouting. “What is that smell?” Taylor asks. “I don’t remember a scent like that.” “I wonder if our senses are heightened since we are linked together now.” Danielle suggests. “That is a possibility.” Bronwyn says under her breath, but doesn’t sound convince
Leah We all rush towards the packhouse making a natural protective ring around Taylor and Renee. Whether she likes it or not, we are all going to be more protective of her now that we know. As we run up to the backside of the packhouse we can hear commotion coming from the training grounds near the Elite building. “Jess, Danielle, Elyse take Renee and go into the packhouse. Please don’t argue, baby we need to check this out and I won’t be able to focus right now with you there. I promise to try, but not today.” Taylor looks right at Renee trying to placate her even though she just told him she won’t be caged. “Danielle, please..” Danielle understood his pain and wrapped her arms around Renee and the four of them walked her towards the rear entrance
60LeahThree days. It took three days to get rid of this burning feeling in my body.“I can barely walk straight.” I complain to Damien as I walk to the bathroom to shower.“That just means I did my job right.” He laughs behind me. “My only worry with all of that action, you may be decommissioned for the next six months. I don’t want you to be angry with me, but I don’t think I am going to be any better than Taylor is with Renee. I can barely stand the thought of you fighting in the upcoming ba
