A dinner

“Amm... nothing?” Kiara slowly said.

“Then why did you call?” Noah asked, showing no emotion in his tone.

“...can’t I call you for no reason?” Kiara smoothly asked back.

“...” This time Noah was quiet. It wasn’t because he had no answer to it, instead he was quiet because he did have an answer, but that is too curt to say it to his girl.

Kiara could guess the reason for his silence too. Rolling her eyes, she ignored that topic and moved on. “What are you doing tonight?”

“Nothing special.”

“Any meetings?”

“Hmm.”

Hearing that, knowing his plan made her feel hesitant to ask him out. Licking her lower lips Kiara paused.

Noah sensed her hesitation. Seeing her speaking nothing for straight a few seconds, he asked first. "Wanna go out for dinner tonight?”

Kiara surprisingly looked sideways to her cellphone. 'MIND READER!'

"Kiara?"

"Hmm. But don't you have meetings?"

"I'll pick you up within an hour."

"..."

Getting no answer, Noah asked again. "Okay?"

"Half an hour?" Kiara did
