Drowned (Part 2)

“Damn it! We are like rats that are about to drown!” exclaimed Claire in frustration.

"Impossible. They shouldn't just let go of the experimental rats that have made it this far,” said Leon.

"They probably already have other rats besides us," replied John.

"Calm down first. Come on think," said Leon while enduring the pain in his leg. He tried to move it to keep his body floating in the water, even though every kick in the water made his legs very sore.

“Leon, are you okay? Hold on to my shoulder," said Claire.

"I'll do it," said John as he swam toward Leon.

Leon let John help support his body. 

"Thank you," said Leon, watching John. He had not fully trusted the man yet, but there was currently no evidence. Claire also seems to trust John.
