I jerked awake and found myself on the couch of the living room. I looked around me and confirmed that it was the mansion. When I realized it was, I sighed and laid back on the bed. Everything that happened came back into my mind. I had fought Maxwell, the phoenix, and had killed him. After that, I was taken out by a blast.
What was that? It had been so painful, and I had lost consciousness with ease. I sighed and sat up on the couch. The house looked empty, but I could hear voices. I stood up and walked gingerly towards the fireplace. For some reason, my spine was still hurt. It was strange that my super healing hadn't dealt with it already.
