Daphne was restless for the rest of the night and when she finally got up in the morning.She washed her face and brushed her teeth.

She stared at herself in the mirror trying to put on a positive attitude for the day so that Nora would not suspect anything.

As she swung the door open to go to the kitchen,she found Nora standing there with a pale face,her lips trembling as she said.

“Daphne, your…your father attempted suicide.”

Daphne’s blood ran cold in her vein,her heart sunk to the floor.

“My…my…”She stuttered unable to speak.

“I just got a call from the police.He had attempted to take his own life but they managed to save him.I was told that he’s in a very critical condition.”And then Nora burst into tears.”He’s probably gotten so frustrated from being locked up for something he didn’t do.This is so unfair.This is so so unfair.”She cried.
