Moving Out

It was as if I saw that familiar car turning around the corner and driving toward me again as I reflected on the past. I could even see the fine sunlight reflecting off the car window thanks to the illusion's realism.

No, it wasn't a trick of the light.

I saw half a face flash across the back seat as I brushed past.

Alvin was there.

Without warning, my nose and eyes turned sour.

Even though every extra glance added to my suffering, I pressed my face against the window and stared back, watching the black car disappear at the next intersection.

I see. A glance had been missed between Alvin and me.

Kevin put his hand on my shoulder and grabbed it.

"I'm fine… What's he doing coming home at this hour, so close, almost ran into him?" I lowered my head, quickly rubbed my eyes, and smiled.

Kevin remained silent. "Alvin's been so busy lately that he probably won't be looking for trouble with you for the time being," he said sardonically after a while.

What is he up to? Are you getting married.
