Chapter 28

Yana's PoV

Rubbing my head slowly, I try to ease the throbbing pain I'm feeling as I wake up. I groan and attempt to exit the bed, but Zach tightens his hold on me.

Groaning, I pry his hands off and drag myself to the bathroom to relieve myself. I look like I've been electrocuted, what the hell happened?

As I exit, Zach chooses that moment to stir awake. "Hey baby, you okay?" He asks, opening his arms for me. I begrudgingly lay on him, and he starts rubbing my back.

"My head is about to split in two." I complain with a grimace.

He eases up and then hands me two aspirins and a bottle of water, which I take gratefully.

An awkward silence ensues between us until Zach clears his throat. "Laura told me to come..." He averts his gaze, "I'm gonna go, I know you need your space."

Hearing him say it pained my heart, but I try to hold my composure. Leaning back against the headboard, I sigh deeply.

"We're still in the early stages but look at us Zach?" I reason.
