Chapter 57

Yana's PoV

I've been pacing the room, unsure of how to face Zach after what I did. Glancing through my bedroom window, I watch as the sun casts orange hues across the evening sky. I can hear Zach moving around in the kitchen, but I'm too scared to go out there. Moments later, a soft knock startles me, I turn around to see Zach with a plate of grilled chicken breast, creamy mashed potatoes, and yellow rice with steamed vegetables.

"I thought you might be hungry." He says, advancing towards me with a stoic expression.

Twiddling my thumbs, I avert my gaze then finally respond when he looks at me oddly. "Thanks, Zach, I appreciate it."

He turns to leave, but I grab his hand to stop him. "Listen Zach..." With a sullen expression, he stares at my hand touching him, so I remove it quickly!

Sighing, I run my hand through my hair for the umpteenth time today. "If sorry if I misled you okay. I just think we need to figure alot of things out before diving back into a relationship."
